Sahin urges Dortmund supporters to keep the faith despite slow start

Nuri Sahin has called for calm after Borussia Dortmund s slow start to the season, urging supporters not to cast doubt on the path the club are on.

Dortmund sit seventh in the Bundesliga standings after claiming 10 points from their opening six games, though they entered the international break on the back of a defeat.

Kevin Vogt and Yorbe Vertessen s goals helped Union Berlin to a 2-1 win, marking Dortmund s second consecutive away loss, taking only one point on their travels so far.

Sahin, who was appointed Dortmund s boss in June, has insisted his team s away form is a priority, though his full focus remains on this Friday s home clash with St. Pauli.

It s not that I want to run away from away games or anything, but it s just a fact that we ve only…

Turkiye target 2026 as Ozcan and Calhanoglu express pride after Euro 2024 exit

Turkiye will target a deep run at the 2026 World Cup after leaving Euro 2024 with their heads held high, say midfield duo Salih Ozcan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Turkiye were on course for a semi-final against England when Samet Akaydin s header put them 1-0 up against the Netherlands in Saturday s last-eight clash.

However, two goals in six second-half minutes, the first a Stefan de Vrij header and the second a Mert Muldur own goal, turned the game on its head as the Oranje advanced.

Turkiye missed several good chances to level late on, recording more shots (15 to 11) and expected goals (1.29 to 0.97 xG) than their opponents.

Having won plenty of admirers en route to the last eight, Ozcan says Turkiye will take the lessons of this tournament into the World Cup…

Santos defends Portugal´s Euro 2016 win

Fernando Santos has rejected the notion that Portugal are unworthy European champions due to their lack of wins inside 90 minutes at Euro 2016.

Santos side drew all three of their round-robin games against Iceland, Austria and Hungary before defeating Croatia in extra-time in the round of 16 and besting Poland via a quarter-final penalty shootout.

Goals from Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo ensured Wales were dispatched 2-0 in Lyon before a goalless final against hosts France went into an additional period, where substitute Eder was the unlikely hero.

Game-by-game Portugal are already faring better than that at the Confederations Cup, where a 1-0 win over Russia in Moscow moved them on to four points from two games in Group A.

Washington vs Cowboys SNF Prop Bets: Prescott's Errors Continue in Primetime

Boxing Day concludes with an NFC East matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Football Team. Dallas enters as 10-point home favorites and walked away with a 27-20 victory vs. the Football Team just two weeks ago.

Can Dak Prescott and the offense take some pressure off of the defense and put up some decent numbers? Can Washington keep its slim playoff hopes alive with Taylor Heinicke back but possibly without Antonio Gibson?

Giants vs Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Prop Bets: Keep Pounding It With Pollard

Thanksgiving is here, and with it comes the usual spread of NFL games to feast on. This is an annual tradition for the Dallas Cowboys, who welcome the New York Giants to the table on Thursday as 9-5 point home favorites.

With such a lopsided line, oddsmakers are expecting the Cowboys to win easily. I’m buying into that narrative as I back a duo of Cowboys and fade Giants quarterback Daniel Jones with my best free NFL player props for Giants vs. Cowboys on November 24.

Also, be sure to check out Jason Logan’s full Giants vs. Cowboys betting preview.

Week 15 NFL Trend Report: Fourth-Quarter Under in Vogue for Eagles-Seahawks

What do games with quarterback matchups of Bailey Zappe vs. Mitch Trubisky, Gardner Minshew vs. Jake Browning, Baker Mayfield vs. Desmond Ridder, and Jordan Love vs. Tommy DeVito all have in common? They all went Over in Week 14! While we’re at it, Zach Wilson led the Jets to 30 points against the Texans, resulting in that game going Over its total, while Joe Flacco led a similar charge in Cleveland resulting in their matchup with the Jaguars going Over the NFL odds total by 20 points!

Will Levis also dropped 28 on the Dolphins resulting in that game going Over, so anyone complaining about all the backups in 2023 needs to chill, because the backups were balling for the most part in Week 14. It helps that some of these games had incredibly low totals, though. Pe…

Chargers vs Cowboys Prediction, Picks & Odds for This Week’s NFL Preseason Game

New Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is in search of his first win of the preseason as his team gets ready to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

With an 0-2 record under Harbaugh’s belt due mainly to poor quarterback play, our Chargers vs. Cowboys predictions are more bullish on Dallas.

Find out why as I break down my NFL picks for Saturday, August 24.

Chargers vs Cowboys prediction

My best betCowboys -3.5 (-110 at bet365)

My analysis

It was an ugly first preseason game for Trey Lance as a Dallas Cowboy. He missed on several throws and averaged a measly 4.6 YPA.

But in his second preseason outing last week, he looked like a completely different player. Not only did he help Dallas cover as 6.5-point …

West Ham: Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky in talks to buy stake

The Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky is in talks with West Ham over a deal to buy a minority stake. The co-owners, David Sullivan and David Gold, have been looking for investment for some years but have turned down offers to sell outright.

Discussions with Kretinsky have taken place over the past 12 months and it is understood that the 46-year-old could buy a large shareholding, believed to be about 27%. Sources have played down suggestions that a deal would automatically lead to Kretinsky buying out Sullivan and Gold.

Premier League accused of failing to ensure access for wheelchair-using fans

The Premier League has been accused of failing to live up to a promise to guarantee match access to wheelchair-using fans.

The charity Level Playing Field, which campaigns for the rights of disabled sports fans, says the number of Premier League clubs providing suitable wheelchair user spaces has fallen over the past five years, despite a pledge in 2015 that all clubs would meet a nationally recognised standard.
